Vacay time!

The hubs and I are planning a trip to Baltimore!  We're hoping to visit the aquarium...

See some AMAZING fall colors (we lack these in the Phoenix area)...

Take a little Amtrak trip-within-a-trip...

Visit Mount Vernon (hubby's never been!)...

And visit the FBI building - one of the only places in DC I haven't visited...

What about y'all?  Any recommendations?  We're all ears!

In other news, Michelle over at Thrifty 101 is featuring my fall centerpiece - isn't she sweet??  =)  Go over and check her out - she has a great blog with some super helpful advice for living on the cheap!

Make sure to tell us your favorite Baltimore/Washington DC spots - can't wait to hear them!  Happy Thursday, friends!

  3. Haha, 3 AZ/XA girls...

    Anyway I totally agree with "other Tay" about visiting the Naval Academy and walking around Annapolis, it's a cute little historic town. You should definitely eat at "Chick and Ruth's Delly" it's bright orange on the main street, you can't miss it. They have great crab cakes and really awesome breakfast food, they've been on TV! {http://www.chickandruths.com/}

    National Harbor always has fun stuff going on... check out the website: http://www.nationalharbor.com/

    You could also check out Ft. McHenry... unfortunately I never got to visit while I was there I did see the flag on display somewhere else though. {http://www.nps.gov/fomc/index.htm}

    Have fun... I wish you had visited last year though!

  4. I live in RVA so I'm not to far from any of those places. In Baltimore you HAVE to eat at somewhere in their Little Italy. OH SO GOOD! Some of the best italian my hubby & I ever had and we spent our honeymoon in NYC. Have fun!
