Thankfully for me, she is not a dude, nor have I sub-consciously been in love with her for most of our lives =) However, she is a dear person to me, and I can't help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside. She's been such a sweet blessing in my life, and I am honored to be a part of the wedding (and get to rock a sweet dress, below, and even cutes shoes, score!!).
Better yet, Eric is honored to be the best man - I've instructed him to turn down the hottness so as to not outshine the groom ;) Later today I'll be on my way to the rehearsal and beginning the giant celebration of their love for one another. I'm not great at sappy things, but tryst me - I'll cry (just don't tell).
All this talk of weddings makes me think about mine (which was amazing and your wedding could not even hope to rival it, so give up now), and make me thankful that I never have to plan one again, yet sad because you only get one shot (hopefully) and there are too many great ideas to shove them all into one wedding! Below are some shots that inspire me, and if I wasn't already married, I'd be filing them away.
How much do I love tents right now, you ask? A Lot. While the logistics of a woodsy wedding are insane, if you've got enough $$$ to pay for this set up, you are probably paying someone else to worry about the logistics...
I want all of these things! Champagne tones and icy blue?? yes, Yes, YES!
It's important to have a photographer who doesn't miss the little things!
I love how delicate this piece is!
Can i be invited to this one, please?
I am dying of cute! What adorable centerpieces!!
Grey suits = good life choices
Holy flowers! Bet she has to lift weights just to carry that sucker! And by that I mean... why didn't I think of that???
And as for the dress?
I want Rachel McAdam's dress from the 2010 Oscars, but re-done in white, cream, and soft peach tones... *sigh*
Hopefully I can take some lovely shots of our friends' wedding, but if not, I'll steal my sisters. =) Congratulations Meg and Justin, we're excited to celebrate with you tomorrow!
Hey now...
ReplyDeleteJust because you aren't having another wedding DOES NOT by any means let you off the hook of filing those ideas! Hello anniversary parties! ;-p
I love the little birdie cake toppers! Where did you see them? Do you have a list of wedding blogs you are reading to see all these great ideas?!
ReplyDeleteAllison, I saw them on Delight by Design, a blog I peruse, and she did not provide photo credits! =( However, I've seen similar birds and materials at craft stores, and I should think you'd be able to make them yourself. We did a LOT of DIYing for our wedding (and by "we" I mean "me and my mom").
